Whether in oil, acrylic, watercolor or pen and ink, her work communicates an unguarded sense of flow.” -Knickerbocker Gallery
Artist Statement
I seek to understand character through expressionistic portraiture, allowing canvas to reflect and document mercurial emotional landscapes. My paintings are a reflection of inner moods, feelings and emotions. The faces are like mirrors, reflecting a deeper truth, that what we are looking for is inside. -Lori Hammel
